Big White Ski Resort

Big White ski resort is for all abilities. There is a green run off every chair, but some serious steeps and deeps to keep the experts happy. It is a cruiser's paradise with plenty of long green, blue and black runs, some well-groomed and others covered with soft fluffy powder. Because of the variety of runs, Big White ski resort is a good ski holiday destination for beginners and intermediates as there is always a challenge but goals are attainable. The tree runs are out of this world, and Sun Ripe Bowl after a big snow fall is one of the best places to be. Along with the all-ability tree runs, moguls, cruisers and bowls, there is a great terrain park, half pipes, snow cross and slalom course!
The Village
Most properties in Big White ski resort are ski-in/ski-out; others are only steps from the nearest run or lift. There is also a huge number of condo buildings, also of varying age and quality. The main day lodge has a restaurant, snack bar, ski shop, and kids centre. Big White ski resort offers a selection of restaurants and bars; Snowshoe Sam's is a lively spot in the centre of the village which usually hosts a live band or some kind of evening entertainment for a great Big White Ski Resort.
Location
Big White is accesible by frequent flights from Vancouver and Calgary to Kelowna, from where it is a 40-minute transfer or drive.
Things to do
As well as the obvious skiing, Big White wins award after award for its family facilities. The Happy Valley area offers a skating lake, the Mega Snow Coaster tubing park, and both mini and maxi snowmobiles, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and horse-drawn sleighs. Child-friendly food, hot chocolate, evening activities with board games and movies are all available. The Tot Town Daycare is available for children aged 18 months to 5 years.
